Company Overview: Our client is a well-established mid-size insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service and comprehensive P&C and Employee Benefits coverage to clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Small Business Account Manager to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in managing our small business accounts and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the commercial lines process.

Job Description: As a Small Business Account Manager, you will be responsible for handling a select book of small business accounts from start to finish. This includes managing certificates of insurance, processing endorsements, preparing proposals and binders, handling new business inquiries, conducting marketing activities, and overseeing the renewal process. Your extensive knowledge of commercial accounts, commercial lines coverages with standard and the E&S insurance marketplace will be crucial in providing outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities: Manage a select book of small business accounts, providing comprehensive insurance services. Process certificates of insurance accurately and in a timely manner. Handle endorsements, proposals, and binders for new and existing clients. Actively engage in marketing activities to attract new business and promote our services. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met. Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and policy changes. Collaborate with underwriters and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Conduct policy reviews and make recommendations to clients based on their coverage needs. Prepare accurate documentation and maintain organized client files.

Requirements: 3 to 5 years (or more) of experience working for an independent insurance agency, servicing commercial insurance lines. Extensive knowledge of commercial accounts, commercial lines coverages, and experience with the standard and E&S insurance marketplace. Possession of a 220 licensed Property and Casualty (P&C) general insurance license is preferred. Proficient in utilizing insurance agency management systems (experience with EPIC is a plus). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
