RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the company’s Marketing, Sales and Operations teams to ensure transactional accuracy and enhance the efficiency of the commission payment process.

Do Commission calculations and respond to commission questions from agents.

Work with marketing to help process commission chargebacks related to agency of record transfers and ensure that amounts due back to the company from agents are processed and applied timely and accurately.

Ensure commission or sales incentive payments have been properly processed.

Respond to escalated calls from the Marketing department regarding complex commission or sales incentive-related processing questions or problems.

Develop expert knowledge in all lines of business, distributions, systems, processes, products and methods.

Prepare monthly/quarterly commissions and sales incentive payment summary reports for agencies or ad hoc reporting requests

Interact with agents to analyze and resolve non-routine/complex payment inquiries and disputes.

Process manual commission statements if required. Resolve and reconcile individual transactions to the total of the statement and the cash receipt.

Consult with management regarding trends and forecast projections.

Develop and implement commission/incentive processing policies and procedures regarding manual commission adjustments due to inherent system limitations.

Responsible for the completion of any commission or sales incentive audits. Summarizes audit findings and conclusions for management and makes recommendations on how to resolve any noted deficiencies.

Work collaboratively with marketing to identify and resolve any outstanding agent commission balances due to the company.

Assist with the preparation of agent 1099 commission reporting and respond to any follow up inquiries from agents related to issued 1099s.

Navigate and pull data from multiple complex systems efficiently.

Apply funds received for balances due by agents to the company.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, accounting or finance

3+ years in commissions and/or sales incentive administration field.

Insurance agent commission and/or sales incentive payment processes.

Evaluation of complex payment process issues and financial information.

Ability to relate insurance agent questions to the company’s commission payment process, formulate analytical scenarios and conduct analyses.

Strong MS Excel and Word skills to prepare, analyze and properly present large sets of data.
