Sr Manager, eCommerce Solutions

JOB SUMMARY:
This is a hands-on leadership position with the skills and experience to lead and manage an eCommerce software development team and provide website enhancements to the company’s burgeoning eCommerce Channel.
This role is accountable for providing on-time delivery of planned website releases for eCommerce and enterprise initiatives working closely with other technology teams, including Enterprise Integration, other application development teams, functional business partners, and external vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the team of eCommerce developers

Build, hire, and mentor the team members

Perform resource planning, set objectives, and conduct performance reviews

Attract, retain, motivate, and develop talent

Build and maintain the roadmap to modernize the eCommerce platform

Contribute to the architecture reviews

hold technical design discussions and decisions

Performs periodic design and code reviews to ensure high standards are maintained in development

Perform the role of technical product owner, as needed for technical projects and items

Collaborate with the product owners, business operations, customer care, quality management, infrastructure, security. and support teams, as needed

Build and deliver using SDLC and/or agile practices

Manage and oversee the successful delivery of initiatives and releases in the eCommerce space

Build and deliver simple, scalable, secure, reliable, and high performing state-of-the-art eCommerce solution

Assesses and cultivates long-term strategic goals for the IT area of responsibility in conjunction with department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders

Works in business-facing roles to contribute throughout the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of complex and large-scale technology solutions

Leads and manages on-shore, near shore, and off-shore development teams and vendors

Establishes and maintains relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure the eCommerce teams projects stay aligned with the needs of the business

Communicates to upper management periodically

Manage resource hours for project and provide weekly project updates

Available during non-core hours such as early morning or late night, especially during release, etc.

Participates in on-call rotation, as needed

Participate in root cause of P1 and P2 production incident and provide recommendations


Requirements

Knowledge and capability in relevant technology

o Extensive experience working with Enterprise ECommerce systems (Websphere Commerce required, ATG, Magento, DemandWare)
o Extensive experience in managing a Java based development team
o Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JQuery, Javascript, React, SQL, Microservice, and API
o Expertise with OMS and ERP Retail management systems and processes
o Strong knowledge in log aggregation and monitoring software (i.e. Splunk, New Relic, Tealeaf, Uptrends)
o Strong knowledge with Performance tools (i.e. Jmeter, Dynatrace, Load Runner, Load Complete)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent experience (required)

8+ years of progressive experience in Enterprise eCommerce platforms (required)

5+ years of software development experience (required)

5+ years of experience of leading/managing teams (required) – 3+ years managing offshore teams (preferred)

5+ years of experience working within an agile and/or software development life cycle (preferred)

3+ years’ experience with React – Will not code, but should be able to read React code (preferred)

3+ years’ experience with Microservice and API (preferred)
