Growing regional agency is seeking a Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist. This is a remote opportunity, preferably looking for candidates in TX or FL. This role is specific to marketing small to middle market business across a variety of industries.

This is an exciting pivotal role between sales producers and top-tier insurance carriers. Primary responsibility is to market new and renewal small to middle market new and renewal business to insurance carriers to secure the most comprehensive coverage at the most competitive terms for clients.

Seeking a skilled negotiator, a persuasive communicator, and an expert in the underwriting landscape.

Position is fully remote, prefer candidates located in TX or FL.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sophisticated marketing strategies for new business and client renewals

Prepare thorough and accurate submissions, including applications, loss runs, and supplemental information, to present risks favorably to underwriters

Solicit quotes, terms, and conditions from multiple A-rated insurance carriers

Analyze and compare proposals to identify the best coverage options and pricing for clients

Negotiate aggressively with underwriters on coverage, pricing and policy terms

Prepare professional and easy to understand proposal presentations for the sales team and clients

Bind coverage and coordinate the issuance of policies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Cultivate and maintain strong, productive relationships with key underwriters and carrier representatives

Serve as the primary point of contact for designated insurance markets

Stay informed on carrier appetites, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends to strategically place business

Work closely with Commercial Producers to understand client needs and risk profiles

Collaborate with Account Management team to ensure a smooth transition from sale to service

Utilize the agency’s CRM and management system to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all marketing activities

Participate in strategy meetings and contribute to overall growth and profitability of the agency


Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred



Experience:
3-7 years’ experience in Commercial Property & Casualty; a comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, placement, underwriting and rating concepts

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially in Excel and Word)

Experience with insurance-specific software (e.g. Applied Epic, Vertafore, Salesforce)

Insurance designations (CIC, ARM, AAI, CPCU) preferred
