HR Director | South Florida Insurance Agency
Established independent insurance agency is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead all HR functions, compliance, and strategic initiatives.

HR & Compliance:
Develop and implement HR policies aligned with business objectives

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Florida employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)

Manage insurance license compliance and tracking for all licensed employees

Stay current on evolving employment regulations and update policies accordingly


Benefits Administration:
Oversee all employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, life, etc.)

Serve as primary liaison with benefits brokers, carriers, and TPAs

Lead annual open enrollment and employee education

Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA

Analyze costs and recommend plan design changes


Payroll & HRIS:
Review payroll in Paylocity HRIS system

Ensure accuracy of compensation, deductions, and tax withholdings

Maintain system for reporting and compliance tracking


Talent Management:
Lead recruitment, screening, and interviewing for all open positions

Manage onboarding, performance management, and employee relations

Handle terminations and ensure compliance

Plan company events and recognition programs

Manage vendor relationships


Required Qualifications:
10-15 years of progressive HR experience

Deep knowledge of Florida employment law and federal regulations

Extensive benefits administration and vendor management experience

Proficiency with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Bachelor's degree; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
