Director of Supply Chain

Remote work from home job for someone residing in the Western United States of America

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and lead a team of professionals in the areas of purchasing and strategic sourcing….a supply chain team…including training, developing, mentoring and assisting team members.

Lead all supply chain activities within the company’s sites, ensuring each site has effective supply chain systems, processes and practices in place and documented.

Lead supply chain transformation

Elevate supplier and team performance.

Develop the organization while executing the supply chain strategy to significantly reduce cost

Improve supplier performance and develop team member skillsets.

Lead overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory of materials and selection of suppliers for identified sites/locations.

Recommend improvements for productivity, quality and efficiency of operations.

Coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new products.

Implement, execute and maintain world class supply chain strategies for purchasing, sales and operations planning (S&OP), ERP/MRP systems.

Drive transformational procurement strategies that reduce costs for existing programs and enhance new program development.

Develop business processes which will improve overall supply chain performance while satisfying current demands and minimizing total supply chain costs.

Engage with suppliers and deploy strategies which reduce lead times and improve supplier performance.

Communicate business and functional needs and objectives to the

Employ MRP/ERP systems and all applicable tools used for supply chain management.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations or supply chain management required………Masters degree desired.

8+ years supply chain management

3+ years in a senior management role leading supply chain teams – preferably working within an aerospace, automotive or mechanical manufacturing environment.

AS9100 Quality Systems

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

MRP/ERP systems.

Lean environment experience employing Lean principles and methodologies

Practical experience in transactional Six Sigma analysis.

APICS and/or ISM certification

Leading and managing in a multi-site environment
